Often one hears all the problems encountered in building a house, and the joke among home owners is to roll their eyes and have sympathy for those of us who choose to build. My experience with your firm, Danmark Development, has been just the opposite! You can have a good general contractor, but if he/she doesn’t guide you to the best value for the money, you either overpay or get shoddy work. During my entire process, you encouraged me to meet with the sub-contractors and gave me the background of each. I always felt that the contractor chosen was giving us the best value for our money. I did not work with an interior decorator, and enjoyed your input when I got stumped. Because you have been involved in construction of many homes, from new to remodel, you saw the design trend and would give me insightful suggestions. I have had the pleasure of knowing Dan Morrow, both personally and professionally, since 1979. Personally, we have gone to school together, competed in sports together, been a part of each others friends and family circle, and have remained good friends from childhood to adulthood. I am pleased to share this Letter of Reference on Dan Morrow and Danmark Development. I am the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Benchmark Construction Company, Inc., a construction management organization focused on Healthcare, Higher Education, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities in Central and Southeast Pennsylvania. Dear Dan, I want to tell you how pleased I am of the final outcome of the extensive update renovation to my 1988 vintage home in Juno. From the day Dan walked around the home with my kitchen designer, skill, experience and vision enabled then to revise the floor plan during that brief meeting. I gave their ideas to my Architect who created the plans. DMD then presented a very detailed line-item timeline and budget. Nothing was overlooked. Dan used polite, professional, tidy and knowledgeable trade people and worked well with the town permitting and inspection office. Dan cheerfully kept me appraised of progress and obviously on top of his trades and all the details. No corners were cut (unless mitered and sanded!) He is a diligent perfectionist.
